Organic Colorful Childrens Clothes – Happy Green Bee

Fresh from Green Festival Seattle 2009 where I saw so much great stuff, i have decided to begin with some of the baby items I came across.

Drawn to the bright colors and simplicity of the designs, I could not help but love what I saw. The colors and patterns remind me of a roll of lifesavers candy, but with a European look and feel. Crafted to stretch and move with the energetic activities of young children, yet still be cute and stylish, and it’s no wonder; the companies founder Roxanne Quimby has a background in art and is well traveled.

Happy Green Bee offers organic clothing in several styles for baby’s and kids of all ages. You have to like colors though, and I mean it. Stripes and bright colors are not optional here, they are the standard. Their mission statement says it all:

To create cheerful gender-free organic kids clothing with sustainable earth friendly manufacturing practices in an effort to meet and increase the demand for organic children’s clothing that not only looks and feels great but is contributing in positive ways to the welfare of our planet.

Created out of Organic cotton, these baby and childrens clothes are free of pesticides and harmful toxic residues which can cause skin irritations and eczema on sensitive skin. Colored with nontoxic dyes and no chemical bleaches or finishers are used in the manufacturing process. In addition, Happy Green Bee products are made in fair-trade-certified factories that are monitored for worker health and safety.
